DENVER — Many large retailers across the country are ready to hire seasonal workers for the upcoming holiday season.
The popular chain Kohl’s says it is hiring nearly 70,000 workers for holiday shopping. That’s more than 30 percent more than last year.
The department store expects to hire an average of 50 associates per store. That means the company is looking for about 1,200 workers for its 24 stores up and down the Front Range of Colorado and in Grand Junction.
Kohl’s also expects to hire more than 9,000 people into positions at its distribution centers.
