LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Lakewood Police have closed a portion of South Kipling Parkway for investigation of a fatal accident Monday morning.
It happened at around 3:40 a.m. on northbound South Kipling, which has been closed from West Mississippi Ave to West Exposition Avenue.
The southbound lanes are still open.
The driver and solo occupant of the vehicle was declared dead at the hospital, according to Lakewood Police.
There is no estimated time for reopening as of 6:45 a.m.
Police had no information available on what factors, if any, were being investigated in the crash or the identity of the driver.
Lakewood Police are encouraging anyone who normally takes Kipling Parkway to seek alternate routes.
