DENVER — Reser’s Fine Foods announced an expansion of a food recall over possible listeria contamination, Reser’s said Saturday.
The recall includes foods sold at King Soopers stores in Colorado.
The expanded recall, above and beyond the 22,800 pounds of food already affected, includes chicken, ham and beef products produced by Reser’s between Sept. 5 and Oct. 9, according to a press release.
The earlier edition of the recall included King Soopers’ old fashioned potato salad, elbow macaroni salad and mustard potato salad.
A full list of the recalled products can be found here.
The products were distributed to retailers and distributors nationwide, including King Soopers stores in Colorado.
No reports of illness caused by the foods have yet been verified.
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the listeria was detected through microbiological testing by Canadian health authorities. U.S. officials traced the contamination to a Kansas plant.
Reser’s has also set up a hotline at 1-888-257-7913.
