JACKSON COUNTY, Colo. — Arson charges have been filed against a juvenile in connection with the Beaver Creek Fire, the District Attorney’s Office for the Eighth Judicial District announced Friday.
The fire started on Sunday, June 19 about 24 miles north of Walden, Colorado. The fire has burned 38,380 acres so far in northern Colorado and southern Wyoming.
Officials say the fire is 75-percent contained, as of Friday.
The fire also has destroyed one residence and 16 minor structures, according to officials.
Authorities did not release any additional information, including the suspects name.
