The judge denied that request and another request to limit Sean Crumpler’s access to the Internet.
Crumpler works as a computer programmer and he said he cannot do his job without accessing the Internet. The judge agreed with that, but he warned Crumpler to use his computer only for work-related activities.
FOX31 Denver also learned Monday the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office mistakenly released Crumpler on bond without requiring him to appear before a judge first. State law requires an appearance before a judge in cases involving alleged sex offenders.
The sheriff’s office said it will review procedures and make proper changes to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
