I-76 reopens between Lochbuie and Nebraska border

LOCHBUIE, Colo. — Interstate 76 between Lochbuie and the Nebraska border reopened on Thursday morning after being closed for adverse road conditions.

The Colorado Department of Transportation closed the interstate just before 4 p.m. Wednesday as a strong spring snowstorm made its way onto the Plains.

Just before 10 a.m., all westbound lanes were opened between the Nebraska border and Denver and eastbound lanes were opened between Lochbuie, northeast of Denver and Sterling.

The eastbound lanes between Sterling and the Nebraska border reopened about 10:50 a.m.
