RANGELY, Colo. – You might call it the “small town struggle.” The problem tiny communities have with getting noticed.
For some, the town of Rangely in northwest Colorado is nothing more than just a blip on the map. Unless you have a reason to visit it, many people just pass through the four-mile-long town.
“What would have brought you here?” asked Lendy Lancaster, a curious employee at the local hardware store.
Lancaster wanted to know why FOX31 Denver decided to visit her corner of Colorado.
It’s simple: We wanted to hear how Rangely found its voice.
