DENVER — Keeping yourself and your baby healthy during pregnancy means getting the right vaccinations.

But many women now question whether that’s safe.

Research published by the Journal of the American Medical Association shows women who receive vaccines do not have an increased risk of pre-term delivery or low birth weight babies.

Vaccines for the flu and other common illnesses are considered safe.

Doctors say being vaccinated during pregnancy not only protects you but it also protects your baby.
