DENVER — This is something parents who use e-cigarettes need to know about.
The number of children who are getting sick because of the devices has spiked, largely because of the liquid nicotine they use.
More than 2,700 people have turned to poison control centers so far this year because they were exposed to liquid nicotine. Children under age six who got sick were involved in more than half of those cases.
Both doctors and e-cigarette vendors want user to be careful when kids are around.
