WASHINGTON, D.C. — A new outbreak of E. coli at Chipotle Mexican Grill is being investigated by the Centers for Disease Control.
The CDC says this outbreak was more recent than the one that peaked in October.
There are a total of five cases in the new outbreak, in Kansas, North Dakota, and Oklahoma.
The illnesses started from November 18 to November 26.
All five people said they ate at Chipotle in the week before the illness started, according to the CDC.

This outbreak involves “a different, rare DNA fingerprint of Shiga toxin-producing E. coli O26 (STEC O26),” the CDC said.
The agency has not determined if these infections are related to the earlier outbreak.
That previous outbreak includes 53 cases in 9 states, based on the CDC’s case count.
