DENVER — A major marijuana-infused manufacturing facility issued a voluntary recall Tuesday because of potentially unsafe pesticide residues in some product samples.

EPMM Colorado, which does business as EdiPure, said the recall affects 35,000 units of about 23 gummy and hard candy marijuana products.

The recall affects the following products:

  • Recreational products labeled with “oil batch” numbers ending in: 3474, 3250, or 3021.
  • Medical products labeled with “production batch” numbers ending in: 807, 763, 744, 702, 701, 661, 786, 617, 961, 981, 1011, 1027, 1197, 1224, 1216, 1268, 1154, 1187, 1197, 1060, 1081, 1272, 1291, 1311, or 1328.

“Recalled products include a variety of infused candy products. Contaminated hash oil was used to produce the EdiPure candies, some of which tested positive for one or more of the following pesticides that the Colorado Department of Agriculture has determined cannot be used legally on marijuana in Colorado: Myclobutanil, Avermectin, Spiromefesin, Etoxazole, and Imidacloprid,” a news release from the Denver Department of Environmental Health said.

The marijuana-infused candy was widely distributed to stores across the state.
