FORT COLLINS, Colo. — The FBI doubled the reward it’s offering for information leading investigators to the person who is shooting people in northern Colorado. The reward leading to arrest, prosecution and conviction is now $20,000.
In addition, the task force investigating the series of shootings during the last month announced a new way to contact them Tuesday. A single telephone number and email address have been established for tips related to the cases it is investigating.
- Task force tip line: 970-498-5595
- Task force email: taskforce@larimer.org
The task force is looking into the shooting of a woman in the neck on April 22 in Larimer County, the shooting death of a man on his bicycle in Windsor on May 18, and the shooting death of a man on a street in Loveland on June 3.
Investigators are interested in talking to anyone who was near the area of East 1st Street and St. Louis Avenue in Loveland on the night of June 3 between 10 and 11 p.m. They also want to speak with a person driving a white Ford SUV on May 18 near Weld County roads 72 and 15. The task force believes that person may have important information about the homicide of John Jacoby while he rode his bike.
A unit of the task force is also investigating all reports of shattered windows in vehicles on northern Colorado roads. To date, there is no evidence that links these reports to the other three cases mentioned.
