SUMMIT COUNTY, Colo. — A single-car rollover crash on Sunday afternoon resulted in the deaths of the driver and his dog, the Summit County Sheriff’s Office said.

The crash of the white FJ Cruiser happened just after 2 p.m. in Warden Gulch off Peru Creek, the sheriff’s office said.

Flight for Life crews identified the driver as 29-year-old Patrick Fultz of Avon. Fultz and his dog were both ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.

Fultz suffered massive head and internal injuries, the sheriff’s office said.
