LAFAYETTE, Colo. — The parents of a missing Lafayette man are asking the public’s help in locating him.

25-year-old Nathaniel Tallman left his town home late Tuesday afternoon and hasn’t been heard from since.

“It’s the most horrible thing you could ever imagine,” said Kevin Tallman, Nathaniel’s father. “The good news is that we don’t have any bad news that he won’t be with us anymore. So we’re hoping and praying that people will help and find our son.”

Nathaniel told a roommate Tuesday he was meeting someone in Longmont. He drove off in his 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer Rally with temporary plates. The car has yet to turn up either.

Police are now investigating the case.

The missing man’s friends have distributed flyers in Lafayette and in Longmont in an effort to find him.

“We have tried every jail, police department, hospital,” said Zalyn Lee, Nathaniel’s friend. “I’ve tried towing companies. We’ve tried every possible avenue to figure out even where his car might be. We’ve turned up nothing.”

Nathaniel’s mother said her son’s disappearance was totally out of character and that they usually spoke half a dozen times a day.

“I want my son home,” Sherry Tallman said Saturday. “He vanished without a trace and I guess at this point no news is good news.”

Her husband said he’s also counting on his son, who helps him run a greeting card business, to come home soon.

“We have hope and that’s what we have to be strong for,” Kevin Tallman said.
