LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Family and friends of a paramedic are asking for help to find him after he went missing Friday night.

The family of 25-year-old Eric Pracht said he disappeared for a walk, and even went without his shoes and keys.

“We came and looked (Saturday) all day and today we’ve got family and friends out here today looking,” his father Randy Pracht said. “Him and I went paddling on Thursday and he was in a great mood, everything was going good, so we’re just kinda baffled what happened.

“He’s a really mellow person. Just the nicest kid you’d ever want to meet.”

Pracht is a paramedic at South Park Ambulance District. The Lakewood Police Department said he was hanging out with friends at his Lakewood condominium on Friday night, but no one has seen or heard from him since.

“They’d been drinking. They got together and they had a conversation and things got a little heated,” Randy Pracht said.

That’s when family said he left the house, threw a beer can in the trash and took off walking west.

“He told his fiancee ‘I just need to take a walk around the complex. I’ll be back in five minutes, and that was the last we saw of him,” Randy Pracht said.

His family says Pracht had his cellphone with him, which made a call at 5 p.m. Saturday. It pinged off of a cell tower at the base of Green Mountain.

“We’ve scoured the area,” Randy Pracht said. “We searched Green Mountain, the south side a little bit, but I seriously don’t think he’s gonna be walking without shoes up there.”

The family said they’ll keep looking.  Anyone with information is asked to call police.
