DENVER — One of the most popular television series from the 1990s is returning to FOX31. According to an announcement from FOX, the original cast of “Beverly Hills, 90210” will reunite for a six-episode series that will air during the summer of 2019.

The drama focused on the lives of teenagers living in Southern California. Its first episode aired in 1990. The final episode aired in 2000 after 10 seasons.

According to FOX, Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling will all star in the new series. The network says the actors will play “heightened versions of themselves in a brand-new serialized drama – with a healthy dose of irreverence – that is inspired by their real lives and relationships.”

Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler will write and executive produce the reboot.

“‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ left an indelible impact on pop culture and an entire generation,” said Michael Thorn, the president of entertainment at FOX, in a press release. “Its powerful legacy is an important part of our network’s DNA – bold stories not told anywhere else and bigger-than-life-characters – and we’re honored to bring back the beloved original cast members for 90210.”
