BROOMFIELD, Colo. — An employee at a Broomfield gym was injured after a car crashed through the business storefront Tuesday morning.

It happened about 8:30 a.m. when a four-door sedan crashed into a Curves gym at 12716 Lowell Blvd.

North Metro Fire Rescue District and the Broomfield Police Department responded to the crash and found an employee pinned to a wall. The employee was rescued by North Metro Fire crews and treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The employee is expected to be OK, North Metro Fire said.

The driver crawled out of the vehicle and was transported for further evaluation.

North Metro Fire said five to seven clients and employees were inside the building when the crash occurred, but no other injuries were reported.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

It was not clear whether any charges will be filed.
