FORT COLLINS, Colo. — A ban on electronic cigarettes goes into effect in Fort Collins on Saturday.
The law, passed by the city council on Tuesday, bans e-cigarettes anywhere conventional smoking is prohibited as well.
Also, all hotel and motel rooms in the city will have to become 100 percent smoke-free. Previously 75 percent of rooms had to be reserved as smoke free.
According to the Fort Collins Coloradoan, Councilman Ross Cunniff called the expansion of the smoking ordinance “a necessary step in protecting our public health.”
