DENVER — Valentine’s day isn’t limited to just us humans, our furry friends need loving as well.

The Denver Dumb Friends League is doing its part to help out our four-legged companions.

All weekend the shelter is offering special deals on all its pets up for adoption.

From today through Feb. 15 the Dumb Friends League is offering 50 percent off adoption fees for all adult dogs and waiving fees for cats.

If you want to help out but don’t have room for a new pet, you can donate $25 to have a paper Valentine given to a shelter pet.

For $75 you can get their kennel decked out with a new heart-shaped mat.
