Crews working to fix a gas leak in Thornton

THORNTON, Colo. — Thornton city crews were repairing a broken water line but during repairs they broke a gas line, Xcel had to send crews out to repair it.

Crews were working on a water line at the Thornton Mobile Estates at East 88^th Avenue when they hit a gas line.

Xcel was on scene and was waiting for more crews to arrive to cap the line.

Eight mobile homes were voluntarily evacuated to the clubhouse.
