NEW YORK — Wells Fargo is one of several big banks that suffered technical glitches Friday, preventing customers from using their debit and credit cards.
Some Wells Fargo customers weren’t able to use their credit cards or access their online account.
The bank says it’s still working to fix the problem Friday.
PNC Bank and SunTrust also reported issues that affected some debit and credit card transactions.
USAA, a financial service provider to military members and their families, also confirmed it was having issues with some credit card transactions not going through due to problems with a third-party processor.
SunTrust and USAA said they were still working to resolve their issues Friday.
PNC Bank said its problem stemmed from a service vendor technical issue that also prevented access to online and mobile banking.
A PNC bank spokesperson said the problems started around 4 a.m. MT and were resolved before 9 a.m. Customers were able to access their money from an ATM throughout the online outage.
