MORRISON, Colo. — A man and woman are being sought for allegedly breaking into vehicles and stealing credit cards, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.

Authorities initially thought there was just a male suspect but they now believe a woman is also involved in the thefts at mountain parks near Morrison, including Lair O’ The Bear and Red Rocks.

One victim reportedly had stuffed her purse under the car seat and the thieves still stole it. Officials believe the thieves were watching the victim.

The sheriff’s office warns people to only take your ID with you or if you bring a purse, to put it in the trunk before leaving.

Anyone with information is asked to call 303-271-5612.
