Colorado mountaineers in Nepal help rebuild devastated villages

KATHMANDU, Nepal — One week after the deadly earthquake rocked Nepal, rescue teams were still working around the clock.

The disaster killed more than 6,000 people and left over 14,000 injured.

Rescue teams sort through debris looking for any survivors or dead bodies.

Crews from other countries have also joined in the search including, Fort Collins resident and mountaineer Jim Davidson.

Davidson and his team spent two days helping locals in the Nepal village of Phortse rebuild their village.

An impressive effort giving back after their Everest season was cut short by the earthquake a week ago.
