DENVER — Some Colorado parents have gone to state lawmakers asking for help to get access to medical marijuana in school for their children.
Legislators passed a law last year allowing pot on campus for medicinal use.
But so far, no district has followed through on allowing access. Administrators said they don’t want to go against federal law, which outlaws it.
Parents want the state to take action again and mandate that schools allow access to medical marijuana.
The measure passed out of committee Monday afternoon and will move on for further debate.
