BOULDER, Colo. —  A candlelight vigil will be held in memory of the victims of the Nepal Earthquake that killed more than 4,000 people.

The vigil will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday in front of the Boulder County Courthouse.

The coordinator of the vigil, Surendra  Shrestha, asked the public to bring a candle, a cup, flowers, flags, and thoughts and prayers.

“Join us all as we show solidarity to the ones who are still living in fear and chaos, and remember the ones who are no longer amidst ourselves,” Shrestha said.

The earthquake destroyed some major monuments and historic sites that have been around for many centuries.

“Let us show our beloved ones in Nepal that while they may be living in panic, they are not alone,” the Colorado American/Nepalese community and coordinator said in a release. “And we share with them their fear, their pain, our love and our selves, in mind and in spirit.”
