DENVER — Several facilities including schools were locked down Monday afternoon while Denver police investigated reports of an armed suspect near 3200 Dahlia St.

Police declined to release details beyond saying there was a report of a person with a firearm. Witnesses said that a structure in the area had been cordoned off and surrounded by officers about 1:15 p.m.

About 3:15 p.m., officers said the incident appeared to be a family dispute and that no guns were involved at all.

Harrington Elementary School, some two miles away, was briefly locked down, but the status has since been lifted.
