SEDALIA, Colo. — A mama bear was hit by a car outside Sedalia over the weekend, leaving her baby cubs orphaned.
The two cubs were found clinging to their mom’s body after the accident, Colorado Parks and Wildlife said.
When officials showed up, the cubs ran away but were found and captured Monday.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife asked the public to be aware of bears at all times and especially when driving. Officials said bears are hungry and moving around a lot looking for food.
