LONGMONT, Colo. — A big honor Thursday night for the woman who helped keep Michelle Wilkins alive during her terrifying ordeal.
It was a little more than two months ago when Beth Kemper took the 911 call from Wilkins, who had just been attacked and had her unborn baby taken from her womb.
Kemper, a 911 dispatcher in Longmont, was named National Telecommunicator of the Year on Thursday night. The honor came from the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials in recognition for how she handled Wilkins’ crisis.
