August 10, 1983: KDVR-TV signs on the air

April 5, 1987: Becomes a FOX affiliate with the inception of the FOX network.

August 10, 1994: FOX earns the highest rating across the country for the debut of NFL on FOX.

July 3, 1995: KDVR becomes a FOX O&O (owned and operated station)

November 1996: Reaches over one million households for the first time.

February 20, 1998: Announces purchase of land at 6th & Speer Blvd. in Denver to build a news and technology center. This location was the land where the original KDVR facility was located.

April 27, 1998: Ground is broken on the new facility.

April 15, 2000: Signs on from 100 E. Speer Blvd.

July 16, 2000: FOX 31 News at Nine O’Clock premiers.

March 22, 2004: Good Day Colorado, FOX 31’s morning newscast, premiers.

July 14, 2008: KDVR purchased by Oak Hill Capital Partners’ Local TV LLC

January 2009: KDVR launches FOX 31 News at 5:30

January 22, 2009: FOX 31 launches KDVR.com

July 26, 2010: FOX31 launches Nightside at 10:00 p.m.
