Taylor Kilgore joined the FOX31 Sports Team in May of 2022. She previously served as Sports Director at KKTV in nearby Colorado Springs. Taylor is fired up to continue covering this amazing sports city!
Taylor has covered sports in many different stops around the country. Before moving to Colorado, she covered the Huskers in Nebraska as the evening sports anchor at KSNB. Prior to that, she spent two years in the south soaking up every bit of knowledge from the sports team at News Channel 5 in Nashville, Tennessee. In her time there, she was lucky enough to cover all the sports in town including her brother Logan’s team. He was a 4-year starting quarterback at Middle Tennessee State University.
Taylor was born and raised in Rocklin, California. Sports weren’t just entertainment for her and her family, but a way of life. Seriously, family vacations were traveling the country for basketball tournaments.
She grew up playing basketball, volleyball and competing in taekwondo. Most people don’t know that she is a second-degree black belt.
Taylor went to Humboldt State University on a full basketball scholarship where she received a degree in mass communication as well as a minor in broadcast news. She was a 4-year starting shooting guard for the championship basketball team where she was named captain as well as a weight lifting All-American. At HSU, she was also able to start her career in television as the co-host of the campus sports show Humboldt State Tonight.
Taylor, along with her husband Scott and their daughter Cannon, loves calling Denver home. In her free time, she loves to travel, go to concerts and spend as much time outside as possible.
Taylor is also a proud coach’s wife. Scott coaches men’s basketball at Regis University.
