Evan Kruegel joined FOX31 and Colorado’s Own Channel 2 as a Reporter in January 2018. A Colorado native, Evan graduated from Fairview High School in Boulder, and is a proud CU Buff!
Prior to working in Denver, Evan worked as a reporter in Milwaukee, WI., where he specialized in investigative reporting. While in Milwaukee, Evan received the state’s highest honor for live reporting in a large market, winning “Best Live Reporting” and “Best Spot News Reporting” from the Wisconsin Broadcaster’s Association. Evan was also the only reporter outside of Chicago to receive a Midwest Emmy Nomination for “Best General Assignment Reporter” in 2017.
Evan’s previous on-air jobs include stops in Williston, North Dakota, and in Green Bay, WI. He is very glad to be back home in Colorado, telling stories that impact his friends and family.
Outside of work, Evan enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife Rachel, and their dog Bella. On a nice summer day, you can probably find him at Coors Field cheering on his favorite team, the Rockies.
