ORCHARD, Colo. — A woman’s body was recovered Saturday morning from Jackson Lake State Park by Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials.

The woman is a 20-year-old who is not from the U.S. Her identity has not been released.

The search began Thursday at about 4:15 p.m. after witnesses said four people were thrown into the water, two without personal flotation devices. They were riding a jet ski before the accident.

Rescue efforts lasted until midnight Thursday, resumed Friday from 5 a.m. until midnight, too.

The woman’s body was found Saturday morning about 150-200 yards away from the boat ramp.

“We offer our condolences to the family and friends of this person,” said Jackson Lake Park Manager Tyler Sewald. “I appreciate the efforts of our park staff and thank the fire departments, dive team and sheriff’s office for their hard work at the scene during this operation. The support of the community and park visitors was outstanding and assisted us in this operation.”
