GOODYEAR, Ariz. — Police in Goodyear say they have arrested a man wanted by Colorado authorities for multiple offenses.

They say 41-year-old David Samuel Herbert was taken into custody Tuesday at his new home in Goodyear, which is located west of Phoenix.

It was unclear Wednesday if he has a lawyer yet.

Colorado authorities learned Herbert had recently bought a home in Goodyear and was residing with his family in the area of Estrella Mountain Ranch.

After conducting surveillance on the home and a short foot pursuit into the desert, Goodyear police were able to arrest Herbert and book him into a Phoenix jail.

Herbert allegedly has a history of robbery and assault charges in the Denver area and has been sought since April 2018 by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
