DENVER — Four Colorado Rockies are selected to this year’s All-Star Game. Third baseman Nolan Arenado and outfield Charlie Blackmon were voted in as starters.

They will be joined by infielder D.J. LeMahieu and right-hander Greg Holland, who were voted in as reserves.

It is Arenado’s third All-Star selection and his first as a starter.

Blackmon’s selection is his second and the first time he will be a starter.

“It shows that our players are being recognized for their talent and our team,” Rockies manager Bud Black. “It’s a great feather in the cap for them.”

The 88th MLB All-Star Game will be played July 11 in Miami and will air on FOX31.

Despite losing 10 of their past 11 games, the Rockies are 48-36 and have a six-game lead for the final wild-card berth.
