DENVER — The Denver Police Department is searching for a man accused of assaulting a woman earlier this week.

The female victim said she was approached by a man on Monday and Tuesday in the area of East Dartmouth Avenue and South Havana Street.

The victim said the man spoke to her and physically restrained her both times before eventually letting her go.

The suspect is described as a black man with a dark complexion in his 30s. He is thin, around 6-foot-2, with black hair.

The victim said he had light brown bloodshot eyes, was clean shaven, and was wearing a dark-colored muscle shirt and gray sweatpants with the “And1” logo on the hip and leg.

The victim also said the suspect has a light-colored, raised scar on his right shoulder. He has a slow, deep voice without a stutter or accent.

The victim said he smelled like cologne, cigarettes and marijuana.
