DENVER — Broncos rookie quarterback Paxton Lynch has reason to celebrate, after making his first touchdown pass as a member of the team.
With the Broncos down 10-17 in the preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers, Lynch connected with John Phillips.

The extra point was good, tying the game 17-17.
Lynch had taken over as quarterback with 12:03 left in the third quarter, following Trevor Siemian and Mark Sanchez.
With less than three weeks until the regular season gets underway for the Broncos, head coach Gary Kubiak has to pick who will lead the offence when the team faces the Panthers at home on September 8.
The 6-foot-6 rookie out of Memphis was picked 26th overall in the first round of the NFL Draft.
