LOS ANGELES — Dr. Drew Pinsky says he is concerned about Hillary Clinton’s health and the care her doctors are providing.

Dr. Drew, known as “America’s most trusted physician,” was interviewed on KABC’s “McIntyre in the Morning.”

The interview was posted Wednesday but the link wasn’t working Thursday afternoon, raising questions about whether it had been taken down.

However, the interview was transcribed by the Washington Free Beacon.

Pinsky, who is a practicing physician, said he and his friend Dr. Robert Huizenga (known as “Dr. H” on “The Biggest Loser”) reviewed medical records released by the Democratic presidential nominee.

“Based on the information that she has provided and her doctors have provided, we were gravely concerned not just about her health, but her health care,” the Free Beacon quoted Pinsky as saying.

Pinsky said Clinton has an “exceedingly rare clot” from a concussion she suffered in 2012. Pinsky said the clot was in the collecting system for the cerebral spinal fluid, which he said he had only seen once in his career.

Pinsky also expressed concerns that her doctors are using outdated methods to treat her.

“Both of us concluded that if we were providing the care that she was receiving, we’d be ashamed to show up in a doctor’s lounge. We’d be laughed out,” Pinsky said. “She’s receiving sort of 1950-level care by our evaluation.”

Pinsky said Clinton is on an anti-coagulate called Coumadin that “really isn’t even used anymore.”

“Certainly the presidential candidate would get one of the newer anti-coagulates,” Pinsky said.

Pinsky also questioned the way her doctors were treating her hypothyroidism, saying “it’s dangerous and it’s concerning.”

“She’d been treated for hypothyroidism with something called armour thyroid, which is very unconventional and something that we used to use back in the ’60,” Pinsky said. “And both [Huizenga] and I went, ‘Hmmm, that’s weird.’ And by the way, wow, armour thyroid sometimes has some weird side effects.

“So the very medicine the doctors are using may be causing this problem [with her coagulation system], and they’re using an old-fashioned medicine to treat it. Maybe they have reasons, but at a distance, it looks bizarre.”

Pinsky said he was also gravely concerned about how Clinton’s doctors handled her head injury.

“When she hit her head, she had to wear these prism glasses when she came out,” Pinsky said. “That is brain damage, and it’s affecting her balance. Now clearly, it hasn’t affected her cognition, but … that’s profound.”

Pinsky also expressed concern that doctors used an old-fashioned test when screening Clinton for heart disease.

“It just seems like she’s getting care from somebody that she met in Arkansas when she was a kid, and you’ve got to wonder,” Pinsky said. “You’ve got to wonder. It’s not so much that her health is a grave concern. It’s that the care she’s getting could make it a concern.”

Earlier this week, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said Clinton “lacks the mental and physical stamina to take on ISIS and all of the many adversaries we face.”

The Clinton campaign accused Trump of “peddling deranged conspiracy theories in a desperate attempt to change the subject” about her health.

Clinton’s personal physician, Lisa Bardack, insists Clinton is in exceptional health.

However, a Rasmussen poll found 59 percent of Americans want to see her full medical records released.
