DENVER — A concrete truck hit a construction worker near downtown Denver on Friday afternoon.
According to OSHA investigators, a cement truck ran over a flagger just outside the work zone at East 16th Avenue and Pennsylvania Street.
The worker was rushed to the hospital but there was no update on his condition.
Police and OSHA are investigating the circumstances. There were no previous safety concerns reported about this work area one before the accident.

The intersection of 16th and Pennsylvania was closed during the investigation. It reopened before the evening commute began.
