YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. — A woman broke possibly the most important rule while visiting bison at Yellowstone National Park, and the incident was caught on video.
A family enjoying the park’s opening weekend Saturday noticed an unidentified woman slowly walked right up to one of the 1,400-pound animals and pulled out their phones.
The family said they were going to yell to her to stop and get away from the wild animal, but, since it was calm and on the ground, they pressed record instead, according to KSTU.
At least five people were gored by bison at Yellowstone National Park in 2015. That is just one of the reasons visitors are not allowed to come within 75 feet of the giant animals.
