DENVER — It’s a little like the holiday shopping season for the marijuana industry. There’s still a month to go before Denver’s annual marijuana-themed celebration: 4/20.

Marijuana businesses in the city are working hard to get ready for the big crowds of people wanting pot on April 20.

Business operators said this year’s celebration could bring in a record number of tourists; more than 125,000 people are anticipated.

At Love’s Bakery in Denver, the kitchen is turning out double the amount of cannabis confections compared to last year. Dispensaries are working almost around the clock to stock triple their normal inventories.

The other thing they’re doing is education. Officials want people to use marijuana responsibly, especially when it comes to how much they consume in the form of edibles.
