During the pretrial motions this week, 18 people testified, including Ashley Fallis’ friends and a man with whom she was reportedly having an affair.

The judge must rule on whether the jury will be able to hear testimony regarding Tom Fallis’ prior bad acts, as well as testimony from his first wife.

She claimed Tom Fallis abused her during their relationship. The judge also must rule on whether the jury can hear from the Fallis children.

The trial is scheduled to begin next month.
