SHERIDAN, Colo. — Police are beefing up patrols around an area hit by smash-and-grab burglars in Sheridan and authorities are trying to figure out if the crimes are related to others in the metro area.
A surveillance picture shows a suspect burglarizing the Verizon store along Riverpoint Parkway in Sheridan on Monday.
The suspect didn’t get much — an iPhone, some fake tablets and accessories but no cash.
About 100 yards away about the same time, the Truck Logic store was also hit. The front door was busted and cash was taken.
The with recent smash-and-grab burglaries, the Truck Logic owner was surprised this type of crime is still happening.
“It sets off alarms, but there’s not much of a payoff,” Todd Bauer said.
The suspect in the Sheridan cases is described as 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-11 with a thin build.
