ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Craig hospital in Englewood is known as a world leader in treating spinal and brain injuries.

The majority of patients are injured in car accidents and falls, but the hospital also treats some of the top athletes in the world.

One such patient recently endured a terrible crash in competition, and is now recovering.

Extreme free ride mountain bikers push their limits and sometimes  they find them.

At last month’s red bull rampage in Virgin, Utah, 28-year-old Paul Basagoitia, crossed a line he had never crossed before.

The road to recovery foundation supports injured athletes. It started #IRideForPaul on a fundraising page if you’re interested in helping him out.
