DENVER — It’s still way too early to call in the changing of the guard, but there is a buzz in Broncos Country with another start for Bronco’s back up QB Brock Oswieler.

Starting his first NFL game against the Chicago Bears, it was the perfect birthday gift with a hard-fought 17-15 victory. And the more you score, the more fans want to wear your gear.

“When we heard last week that Brock was going to be starting, we knew there would be some demand for his jersey so we did get an order out last week,” said Scott Franklin, general manager of the Broncos Team Store at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

Alas, cooler heads prevail.

“Patriots is a defense that kind of eats young quarterbacks for lunch so we’ll see how he does after this weekend,” one Broncos fan said.

“It’ll be Brock’s team eventually.  Just not yet,” another said.

So before you raise the Goblet of Brock at the Hard Brock Cafe, let’s win a few more football games first.
