After the network posted the information to Twitter, some people were quick to criticize that 10 candidates is too many for the debate. The lineup includes (alphabetical by last name):

- Ben Carson
- Chris Christie
- Ted Cruz
- Carly Fiorina
- Mike Huckabee
- John Kasich
- Rand Paul
- Marco Rubio

There are no tickets available to the public, and the university has set up a couple of events for students who don’t have tickets to watch and participate in the debate.
- Student watch party in the University Memorial Center Glenn Miller Ballroom
- Foreign affairs primer on Oct. 27, the night before the debate
