DENVER — Runners at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon will rally around a Highlands Ranch woman who was nearly killed while she was training to run in the event that happens this weekend.

Tina Benner suffered serious injuries and was found in a ditch after a driver hit her and then took off.

She’s still recovering from those injuries and will not be able to participate in the race.
