DENVER — An officer-involved shooting on Saturday night led to one suspect shot and transported, with two more in custody, according to Denver Police.
It happened around 7:40 p.m. Police reported an officer-involved shooting in the Park Hill neighborhood at 28th Avenue and Fairfax Street.
Denver Police said that officers had found a car reported in an armed carjacking in Aurora earlier on Saturday. When police officers approached the car, gunfire began. Police did not say who fired the shots.
Three suspects were in the vehicle. Two fled and were later found and arrested. One suspect was shot and transported to a local hospital. Police say that suspect is in stable condition.
No officers were injured in the shooting, according to Denver Police.
Police had no information as of 8:30 p.m. as to the identities of the suspects involved.
The officers have been put on paid administrative leave, according to standard procedure, as the investigation continues.
