SEATTLE — The preseason is underway for the Denver Broncos.

The first game taking place late Friday night in Seattle against the Seahawks.

The offensive line struggled some at the beginning of the game, but by the time halftime rolled around, the O-line looked pretty sharp. The struggles should be expected. Three young guys are starting on the offensive line who have yet to play in a real NFL game.

Quarterback Brock Osweiler turned in a good performance during the first half. He threw a touchdown pass to Virgil Green to cap an 89-yard drive at the end of the half. The back-up to Peyton Manning went 15 for 20 for 151 yards and that one touchdown. Osweiler showed confidence running Gary Kubiak’s offense and he was accurate with his throws for the most part.

The Broncos led 19 to 10 at halftime. Denver also had four field goals during the first half. McManus and Barth both went 2 for 2 on field goals.

The glaring weakness for the Broncos was special times and kickoff coverage. Denver gave up three big returns including a 103-yard return for a touchdown by Tyler Lockett.

Running back C.J. Anderson left the game with an ankle injury. It didn’t look too serious.

Denver had 240 total offensive yards in the first half (139 passing, 101 rushing) and allowed just 29 yards (3 passing, 26 rushing).

Linebacker Von Miller had a quarterback sack that resulted in a fumble on the second play of the game.

Running back Ronnie Hillman led all Broncos rushers with 66 yards on seven carries, an average of 9.4 yards per carry.

The second half began with virtually all backup players in the game.

Many observers felt the Broncos starters looked good during their time in the game at Seattle.
