DENVER — A woman is accused of being involved in a bias-motivated assault, according to the Denver District Attorney’s Office.

About 1:30 a.m. on June 12, a victim said she was walking with her partner near West 10th Avenue and Broadway when they were allegedly assaulted by 21-year-old Jhane Toney.

The DA’s office alleges Toney assaulted the couple because of their sexual orientation. She was taken into custody and has been released on a $5,000 bond.

Toney is due in court Aug. 17 for the second advisement of the charges.
