DENVER — Police recovered a body of a man from the South Platte River on Saturday morning.

The body was found near the 5000 block of Franklin St. around 9 a.m.

Authorities were had no idea how long the body has been in the river.

A death investigation was being conducted by authorities.  The victim’s identity or age was not released.

Coroners will determine cause of death after investigation.
